Steve Parker
Started playing Pool in Gosport as a teenager, after a couple of years I joined the local league, and then realised I could play this game. I heard about Hampshire when I was 20, as most things, I trialled and failed 1st time, by not winning a game.
In 1993 I trialled again and was successful, and this was the start of the adventure. I started out in the C, and after a few years I made my way up to the A Team. I was lucky enough to be involved in the winning B Team of 97 who won the Nationals Finals in Gt Yarmouth, and lost the Final in 98.
This was a stepping stone for me to start playing at a higher level and become a regular member of the A. I continued my progress by winning two Hampshire Opens and then joining the Region 7 Tour, where I finished Runner-up in 2008 and 2009. I was Captain of the A Team in 2009 and 2010, which was an honour to lead the Team. I qualified for England Trials in 2010, where once again I failed to win a game, but in 2011 it reversed and I qualified for the England Team in 2011.
Congratulations to Steve Parker for winning the 2011 Hampshire Open
